Mentoring Program

We’ve been there and we understand.

Talking with someone who has recovered from an eating disorder can be very helpful. Our Mentoring Program provides tailored support from someone who has recovered from an eating disorder and has completed special training. Together, Mentors and Mentees decide what that support will look like—how often to connect, what might be helpful, and more. Mentors may connect by phone, email, and Zoom.

Our Mentors understand because they’ve been there.

Our Mentoring Program provides tailored, informal and non-judgmental support from someone who has recovered from an eating disorder and completed special training.

You can request a Mentor using our online form. A team member will reach out to learn more about what might be most helpful, and will then match you with a Mentor.

From there, you and the person you have been matched with will be introduced via email and can get started.

Together you and and your Mentor can decide how you’d like to connect, and how often. You can connect by email, phone, or zoom, and most mentors and mentees connect a few times a month. You and your Mentor will create a Peer Support Agreement that details how you will work together.

Please note: Peer support isn’t a substitute for treatment or counselling, and Mentors aren’t therapists.
