Talking with someone who has recovered from an eating disorder can be very helpful. Our peer mentors encourage self-care, self-compassion and help build hope for recovery. All of our peer mentors have experience with eating disorders recovery and have completed special training.
Our peer support programs provide a non-judgmental space where you can connect with others who understand and share challenges, successes, and recovery strategies. We offer individual peer mentoring, drop-in peer support groups, a youth peer support group, and Two Spirit, Nonbinary, Trans+ peer support groups. You can also connect with a peer mentor directly through the HealthDesk—part of our new Recovery Support Program.
Peer support programs are available free to anyone 14+ living in Canada. All programs are virtual, so you can access them from anywhere. A diagnosis or referral is not needed.
