Eating Disorders Nova Scotia has been training peer supporters for over two decades. All our peer support programs meet or exceed the national standards for the delivery and training of peer support and are co-designed with people with lived experience.
In our model, peer support is intentional. Peer supporters receive training and ongoing support and supervision, and those participating do so with the intention of receiving support.
In addition to our customizable training, we offer support to organizations wishing to develop peer support programs. Our coaching package includes practical tools for recruitment, remuneration, support, program delivery, evaluation and more.
