Eating Disorders Nova Scotia is a community-based organization that passionately believes everyone should have access to the support they need for recovery. A diagnosis or referral is not needed, and services are available virtually.
We also offer educational workshops, information sessions and support for families. Those living in Nova Scotia can also work with our Registered Dietitians and Psychologists. Subsidies are available.
Eating Disorders Nova Scotia offers Peer Support across Canada through Body Peace Canada. Our team of trained Peer Mentors use their experience with recovery to support others through our groups and one-on-one Mentoring program.
"Being able to connect with someone who understands what you’re going through is so powerful," says Shaleen Jones, Founder and Executive Director of Eating Disorders Nova Scotia. "Our Peer Mentors are trained and supported by staff so they can provide that support in a safe way."
More than 2,500 people connected with Eating Disorders Nova Scotia in 2023. These outcomes wouldn’t be possible without the support and generosity of donors.
