Volunteers are the heart of our organization. If you believe that no one should have to face an eating disorder alone, we’d love to hear from you. Become a Mentor, join our Board of Directors, help us fundraise, complete your practicum, and more.
Sharing your time and talents with Eating Disorders Nova Scotia. Current opportunities include Events, Fundraising, and Communications.
Our Mentors draw upon their own expertise working on their own recovery and living lives free from the confines of an eating disorder to motivate, inspire, and encourage others working on their recovery
Mentors complete a 30 hour online training program and take part in ongoing support and training through our Community of Practice.
Each mentor decides their level of involvement, which can range from 2 hours a month, to 10 hours a week.
Our Board of Directors are ambassadors for our shared vision. Together we connect with our community, create our strategic plan, and ensure the organization has the resources to carry it out.
We are currently accepting students from a variety of disciplines. If you are looking for a placement or practicum, please contact us directly.
